Day 3: Nature, Culture, and Food
On the third day, CWK students visited Gardens by the Bay , including the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest . These magnificent attractions displayed an impressive variety of plant species from different regions of the world . Through this visit, the students gained valuable insights into plant conservation, climate diversity, and the importance of protecting the natural environment .
Afterwards, they participated in a traditional culinary workshop , where they learned how to make pandan cake . This interactive experience deepened their appreciation of local food culture and reflected Singapore’s rich and diverse culinary heritage .
In the evening , the students explored Chinatown , where they enjoyed shopping for souvenirs and experiencing the vibrant local atmosphere . They then proceeded to Lau Pa Sat Hawker Centre , where they savour a delightful dinner and sampled an array of authentic local dishes . The students felt cheerful, impressed, and grateful for the meaningful opportunities to learn through both sightseeing and culinary experiences. The day enabled them to appreciate Singapore’s cultural richness, creativity, and harmonious blend of nature and tradition .
